Wow I am a complete and utter slacker. I haven't posted for awhile, and I was determined to keep a somewhat chronological account of my pregnancy. Well I am 29 weeks and down to 2 and a half months left until we meet our little girl (yes it's a girl, she's named, her nursery is done, she has a complete wardrobe for the first year of life, and no, I am not crazy haha). But a brief up-to-date is in order. I have been tolerating the palpatations I posted about last time, and they pale in comparison to the other wonderful symptoms that come and go and plague me daily.
My lower back has been a problem since early on, and I am glad to report that I am managing that well with bi-weekly chiropractic visits. I feel like heaven for at least a few days after each adjustment, so it is worth it! I have been reading about how the poor baby gets all out of whack during delivery (it IS understandable), so I plan on having her adjusted a few weeks after birth. Anyways, my newest discomfort (add this to the nausea that has reared it's ugly head once more, heartburn, a head cold, pelvic pain, etc.) is swollen fingers that are stiff and sore. Makes it difficult to type, and that is a huge part of my job. I have been staying hydrated and watching the salt, but apparently the swelling is par for this stage in the pregnancy, and while only annoying I am hoping it doesn't get worse.
The thing I love the most about right now is feeling her move! Don't get me wrong, sometimes she head-butts my nether-regions and it is quite uncomfortable, sometimes she kicks me so hard I gasp, and other times it feels like she is pushing so hard against my tummy that she wants to pop right through, but I love it. Sometimes I can feel her, and this is altogether amazing and weird at the same time. T and I have been reading her stories before bed every night for the past few months, and she wiggles best when he talks to her. She is already a daddy's girl! It is so exciting and we are so blessed. 2008 is going to be a heckuhva year for us, and I say bring it on!
