I saw a video of myself today, from my former days as a TV co-host. At first, it was cringe-worthy but I thought about why. What was it about that younger version of me (maybe 20 years ago) that I couldn’t love?
I love her now. I love her courage, her sassy confidence (that masked her deep insecurity and lack of worthiness) and her look. She was edgy and beautiful.
And I had an encounter with an older man on a scooter today at a big box store.
It left the women around me with their mouths on the floor.
