Here in Canada, it’s National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Somber day of remembrance of the oppression and persecution of Indigenous people, through residential schools, the 60s scoop, the overt racism and systemic denialism that continues today.
A visualization that brought spinning rage to the fore.
A trip in my future to the graves of my relatives.
A memory of the title I gave myself close to 15 years ago, “Keeper of Soul Stories”.
A thread of grief connects us all. And so it is.
