Live with Shauna Rae - Day 55 of 100 Days

Validation from a stranger on Remembrance Day and holiday season

Day 55 of 100.

100 Days of Human Connection.

1 piece of content, every day, for 100 days.

Saturday night conversations.

A chance conversation with someone who supported veterans at what used to be know locally as a veteran’s hospital.

She said most veterans she supported did not want to remember what they experienced, but rather see the joy in the freedom they fought for.

It actually brought tears to my eyes and I thanked her so much.

The woman with her (they were running a booth at a holiday market) said that her son had just enlisted. He told her she could put up a tree whenever and wherever she wanted, and that he might not be back for a few Christmases so he wanted to her, and the family to celebrate the heck out of this one.

Freedom is for all of us. Those that fought don’t want to remember, nor do they want anyone else to have to go through what they had to.

What we can do, is never allow things to get to that point in the world.

And the only person we have control over is ourselves.

We can start there.
