Day 3 of 100.
100 Days of Human Connection.
1 piece of content, every day, for 100 days.
I got another tattoo today.
I bought a few books today:
End Times Fascism and the Fight for the Living World by Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor
The Art of Fighting: The Transformative Power of Conflict by Priya Parker
I heard Priya interviewed on the podcast We Can Do Hard Things. She talked about conflict and the fact that we get passionate and/or emotional when we’re in conflict, is that we care about the other person in some way.
Once a week, I host live journaling and mediations sessions (they’re around an hour) on the app Insight Timer.
Today we talking about:
Trusting in the adventure. Embracing new experiences. Flowing with life. Letting the old fall away. The you belong to yourself so you are never alone.
I wrote:
My soul longs to touch others.
She is lonely.
She feels lost and drifting but also FREE to FLY.
The writing prompt we had in the session this morning was:
What fear do I have around letting go?
I wrote:
What if I am mocked?
What if it only validates that I am a failure?
What if people think I’m a lunatic?
What if people criticize me?
What if I don’t know what to say?
What if people shame me?
What if I let people really see me?
What if I never get work?
What if I never make money again?
What if I am ‘done’?
What if people laugh at me?
What if people cancel me?
And I answered:
Be yourself. Be your awkward self. Be generous, humourous, kind and have humility. Be empathetic and compassionate with others, especially yourself.
