Day 44 of 100.
100 Days of Human Connection.
1 piece of content, every day, for 100 days.
My voice is getting now only metaphorically stronger but it’s getting physically stronger and louder, more solid and the tone feels deep and earthy.
I feel ancestors all around me, and messages that I’m protected. Things are falling into place that I can’t see and couldn’t possibly have predicted.
I’ve been in the trenches and wept while meditating this morning.
A release of the tension it took to pretend everything is okay and the energy it took to push my voice down, and hold inside what needed to be said.
I’ve been looking at an image on a card I purchased in the spring by Indigenous artist, Michael Robinson.
The image and accompanying poem are called The Last Days of Promise.
The Last Days of Promise
History and the future
are abstracts
that cocoon the realization
of the moment.
The abstract is the movement that sustains life…
That identifies life
from other ideas of reality
and protects the beauty
of its spirit.
Beyond the abstracts
lies a pitch black
titanic rolling entity,
so vast, so dense and silent
so completely alien,
that the reality of past and future
could not exist.
The movement
that is called life
would disappear forever.
